Leave it to a smaller website to bring up a point we’d never heard of through mainstream media nor conceived of during our own musings over China’s economic woes. Could the biggest threat to their economy today and in the future be their dismissal of environmental concerns?
On the surface, one might think that it couldn’t be having the dramatic effect that is yielding the utter destruction of an economy that was supposed to be on the verge of taking over the world a little over a year ago. However, of two minds made a compelling argument that the poor conditions and debilitating health effects of a country as industrialized as China could be driving down profits and driving away talent.
It will take more than a blog post to convince us, but the initial case is pretty strong.
