While Buick has long been known to be GM’s luxury offering that falls in between Chevrolet and Cadillac, which has appealed for many years to an older generation by offering comfort and features that are similar to luxury vehicles and a price that is still easy to live with, the Buicks of today are built to appeal to a much younger crowd. The 2015 Buick LaCrosse will start this excitement and appeal with its outstanding style and full assortment of equipment to enjoy, allowing all generations of car shoppers to seriously consider the LaCrosse for their next car.

The LaCrosse is not only built to appeal to all generations with comfort and equipment, but also a variety of these generations by offering a mild hybrid engine as well as one that is nicely powerful. This allows the fuel conscious to choose the hybrid and the power hungry to go for the larger V6 to both get joy from driving their cars. Added to the 2015 model is OnStar with 4G LTE technology making the LaCrosse a Wi-Fi hotspot. Apple iPhone users will also enjoy the addition of the new Siri Eyes Free technology that links their phone with the car through speech recognition software.

Driving the LaCrosse offers the feel of complete control and driving pleasure in an easy, comfortable and highly responsive manner that is synonymous with the Buick name. Two engines are offered to take up the space in the engine compartment. The motor is recharged through the regenerative braking system and is offered on the base and Leather models. This engine comes in at 182 horsepower and 172 lb.-ft. of torque and when matched up with the six-speed automatic transmission the fuel efficiency is 25 city/36 hwy mpg.

Both engines add the benefits of the start-stop feature that shuts down the engine when idling and helps to add to the fuel efficiency. The second engine is the 3.6-liter V6 engine that is E85 compatible. This engine is offered at no additional cost for the base and Leather models and is the standard offering for the Premium I and Premium II models and is available with all-wheel drive that is not offered on the eAssist engine. When matched up to the six-speed automatic transmission this powertrain reached fuel efficiency numbers of 18 city/28 hwy mpg for the front-wheel drive, 17 city/26 hwy mpg for the all-wheel drive, and 14 city/20 hwy mpg for the E85 Flex-Fuel.

Because Buick upgraded the interior in 2014, the 2015 does not receive any upgrades on the inside and it really doesn’t need any. The interior is comfortable and completely covered in upgraded materials that offer beauty and luxury all around. Plenty of leg and head room is in place for all passengers and the seats are very luxurious in the available leather that can cover all of them. There is plenty of trunk space to allow for luggage when taking long trips or vacations and the two-toned look of the interior is very eye catching and luxury laden.

As an impressive and athletic looking vehicle that also is features with great and luxurious curves and lines the LaCrosse offers a unique and appealing look that can attract the masses. The sharp looking Buick vertical chrome grill and chrome trim all over the vehicle adds to the sexy appeal of the car that makes shoppers want to look at this class above vehicle that comes with a very reasonable price tag. Finishing touches are in place with the bi-xenon HID headlights, LED taillights, multi-spoked wheels, and integrated dual exhaust ports making the exterior really appear to be a high class luxury vehicle.

The standard features offered on the LaCrosse include the 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a rearview camera, a full-color driver information center, OnStar with a six-month subscription, Sirius XM Radio, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, remote keyless entry, dual zone automatic climate control, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, traction and stability controls, brake assist, and six airbags. All of this makes even the base model LaCrosse a truly Buick offering with plenty of features and equipment to enjoy for even the price conscious base model shoppers.

The optional equipment that can be had for the LaCrosse include the bi-xenon HID adaptive headlights, Side Blind Zone Alert, a heads up display, heated and ventilated perforated leather seats, a navigation system, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, a power rear sunshade, a 10-volt power outlet for charging electronics, and a new Ultra Luxury package that adds premium perforated leather seats that are adorned in a coffee color. Adding all of these features and benefits to the LaCrosse truly makes this a fully luxury vehicle that doesn’t just reach up into the luxury class, but easily takes it by storm.

Keeping in mind all the standard features on even the base LaCrosse, the starting price comes in very reasonable at $34,500 which is a great price for such a feature laden vehicle. Moving up the ladder to the Leather, Premium I, or Premium II models will add about $2,000 to the price as the jump is made up each step making the Premium II come in with a price around $40,700. Adding all-wheel drive will add another $2,000 to the price of any of the trim levels as well. The LaCrosse is an excellent offering from Buick that is designed to appeal to all generations, considering the history it has already enjoyed, this car will once again be very successful in 2015.
