Shooting stars and even large fireballs are commonly seen at night. They don’t disappear or stop hitting the earth’s atmosphere during the day but are normally not bright enough to be seen in sunlight. That wasn’t the case today when a large fireball can be clearly seen during the day in Bangkok, Thailand.
Those outside saw but didn’t hear the object, likely a meteor. This is in contrast to the blast heard in Russia in February, 2013. This time, the event was only seen.
